Automotive Service Consultant

Raytown Repair is a reputable automotive service center dedicated to providing exceptional customer service and high-quality automotive repairs. With a focus on professionalism and expertise, we aim to exceed our customers' expectations and ensure their vehicles are safe and reliable on the road. Working hours will be Monday - Thursday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM and Friday 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM.

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented Automotive Service Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills to effectively interact with customers and our team of technicians.

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and provide them with a welcoming and informative experience.
• Listen to customers' concerns regarding their vehicles and accurately document their service needs.
• Communicate effectively with customers to explain necessary repairs and maintenance in a clear and understandable manner.
• Generate accurate service estimates and quotes for customers, considering both parts and labor costs.
• Schedule appointments and manage the service bay workflow to ensure timely completion of repairs.
• Coordinate with the automotive technicians to ensure that all required services are performed efficiently and accurately.
• Keep customers informed of the status of their vehicles throughout the repair process.
• Upsell additional services or products based on customers' needs and vehicle requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the service reception area and customer waiting area.
• Follow up with customers after service to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns or additional needs.

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license
• 2 years customer service experience
• May be required to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, grip, push/pull
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively explain technical information to customers.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple customer inquiries and service appointments.
• Proficiency with computer software and systems for generating estimates, scheduling appointments, and managing customer records.
• Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service and building long-term relationships with customers.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in automotive service is a plus.
